ELECTRONIC CONSULTING SERVICES (ECS) AWARDED FANTASTIC 50 FOR SECOND TIME
Fairfax, VA - April 28, 2004 - ECS has been awarded the Fantastic Fifty award for 2004 by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes ECS as the sixth fastest growing company in the Commonwealth during the period 2001 through 2004. Mr. Roy Kapani, ECS President, accompanied by his senior management staff, attended the Fantastic 50 Networking Reception and Awards Banquet and accepted the award on behalf of the employees of ECS.
As a whole the Fantastic 50 represents the fifty fastest growing companies in the state. According to Hugh Keogh, President and CEO of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Fantastic 50 award evening "illustrates the vibrancy of Virginia's business climate and your contributions to the Commonwealth's economic progress." The awards ceremony was held April 28, 2004 in Chantilly, Virginia at the Westfields Marriott.
"We thank our employees for their sensational work, and the Chamber for this marvelous acknowledgement", said Roy Kapani, ECS President. "Receiving the award for a second year shows that the company's strategy to work closely with clients to determine specific needs, and then tailor our services to exceed expectations has been highly successful."
"The purpose [of the Fantastic 50 awards] was to generate more recognition for small, entrepreneurial companies throughout the Commonwealth for the contribution they were making to the economy by creating new jobs and capital investment," said Hugh Keogh, president of the Virginia Chamber. "These companies represent innovation, vitality, and an economic engine all of which has established and will continue to propel the Commonwealth of Virginia as a technological, trade and employment leader well into the twenty-first century."
Nominations for the Fantastic 50 were sought statewide from local chambers, economic development organizations, small business development centers and through the sponsors networks. To be eligible, companies were required to be privately held, with headquarters in Virginia, and to show sales between $200,000 and $100 million. They were judged on a four-year sales revenue history. Verification of all award entries was conducted by the accounting firm of Goodman and Company.
