USDA AWARDS ECS WITH INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT CONTRACT
Fairfax, VA - October 6, 2006 - Electronic Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS) has won an infrastructure support contract with the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), currently located at 800 9th St., SW, and in the Jamie L. Whitten Building at 1400 Independence Avenue, SW, in Washington, DC. CSREES provides Federal assistance funding (grants and cooperative agreements) to advance a global system of research, extension and higher education in the food and agricultural sciences and related environmental and human sciences to benefit people, communities, and the Nation. CSREES relies on an efficient, responsive, and adaptable Information Technology (IT) environment to facilitate achievements of its mission.
ECS will provide IT infrastructure support services to CSREES to include computer network management, desktop & server monitoring and administration, network router and firewall management services, Wide Area Network (WAN) interface management, system level and policy based security management, management of wireless devices, email administration and IT Helpdesk services.
ECS President, Roy Kapani, stated, "ECS will provide CSREES with an efficient, responsive, and adaptable IT environment, and we look forward to working with the USDA staff, applying our ISO 9001 and CMMI processes, to continually improve the CSREES technical infrastructure."
