ECS AWARDED FANTASTIC 50 FOR FOURTH TIME
Fairfax, VA - April 26, 2007 - ECS has been recognized with the Fantastic Fifty award for 2006 by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. The 2006 award represents the 3rd consecutive year that ECS has been recognized by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce for excellence in growth.
As a whole, the Fantastic 50 represents the fifty fastest-growing companies in the state. For Hugh Keogh, President and CEO of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Fantastic 50 award evening confirmed "that the entrepreneurs [...] are a testament to the same bold adventuresome spirit that gave birth to our nation and which still thrives in Virginia today."
The awards ceremony was held April 26, 2007 in Chantilly, Virginia at the Westfields Marriott. The Virginia Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board and a 2000 Virginia Vanguard Fantastic 50 winner, Julien G. Patterson, was the keynote speaker at the ceremony.
ECS President Roy Kapani stated that "ECS is very proud of the recognition received by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. The Fantastic 50 award is a testament to the dedication and excellence in service exhibited everyday by ECS employees to our Federal Government customers and their mission to serve the American people."
Nominations for the Fantastic 50 were sought statewide from local chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, and through the sponsors' networks. To be eligible, companies were required to be privately held with headquarters in Virginia, show sales between $200,000 and $100 million, and demonstrate positive revenue growth and positive net income in its most recent fiscal year over the previous year. They were judged on a four-year financial history. Verification of all award entries was conducted by the accounting firm of Goodman and Company.
