Job Title:

Sr. System Engineer (MS)

Description:

Location: Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Arlington, VA-The Sr. System Engineer (MS) will perform technical oversight, verification and validation, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems and projects impacting the MS platform. Oversight will be performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Qualifications: The candidates requires a broad knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Platform of products including Active Directory, Exchange, SQL servers, and SharePoint, including the maintenance and care of these technologies at an enterprise level. Candidates must have strong knowledge and experience in a Microsoft software platform infrastructure environment; an understanding of the interactions of Microsoft domains, Exchange, DNS, WINs, MSSQL, file servers, networking, and firewalls/proxy servers; knowledge of enterprise environments, troubleshooting, and operations; and an understanding of and experience implementing the ITIL framework. Required skills: Master’s Degree or higher and 15 years experience required; or Bachelor’s and 20 years experience (Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field). Ten (10) years of experience in complete engineering project development from inception to deployment, with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction in tasks of a technical nature. Excellent project planning, budgeting, scheduling and resource management skills. Effective time management, documentation, and organizational skills. Possess superior communication skills (both verbal and written) inclusive of strong presentation skills. Skilled in detailed requirements gathering, interpretation and analysis. Demonstrated multi tasking ability, analytical skills, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer service is mandatory

Qualification:

QUALIFICATIONS: US Citizen, must be able to pass a TSA background check; Master’s Degree or higher and 15 years experience required; or Bachelor’s and 20 years experience (Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field). Ten (10) years of experience in complete engineering project development from inception to deployment, with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction in tasks of a technical nature.
